Default 2 questions about power supply

Hi,

I'm about to buy this: http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applicatio...Tab=0&NoMapp=0

I would like to know two things:

-First, they say its 8 peripherals+ 4 SATA+12V+etc. does that mean that if (theorically) all the plugs were used by something at the same time they would get enough juice?

-Secondly, is it a good power supply (i.e. good brand, won't break in my hands or after 1 month of use) and is it compatible with my pc?

Mobo: ASUS A7N8X-X Rev2.x
CPU: AMD Athlon XP 2500+

Thanks a lot in advance for your help!

8 peripherals means it has 8 connectors and 470w will supply a lot of power to ur system. i'm assuming ur r not using one of those high end video cards.

yes it's compatible wid ur pc and thermaltake is a well known brand

Thanks,

http://www.thermaltake.com/purepower...R2/w008990.htm

If you check at the specs, is there something cleary indicating that it will be silent?

And I was worried because on the box it says "Athlon 64 / 64FX" compatible while mine is an Athlon XP
