Wow, this one is strange you guys! Ok, so i just updated my windows XP to SP 3 two days ago. Not sure if this has anything to do with it but just though i would tell you.
Anyway, I'm a Firefox user and i love everything about it. Up until tonight, i have never even seen a popup while using it. Well tonight, every 30 seconds a new tab is being created with an advertisement inside. Its getting quite annoying. Also, i can tell things are opening in the background because my typing is stopped several times while doing this. Anyway, i have been adding the sites to the "siteblock" extension for FF but its really not doing anything. I checked my options and it says its blocking popups as usual but it certainly isnt. I have AVG Pro and im clean in that aspect and i just ran a spyware sweep and deleted 36 traces of a low threat tracking cookie. My AVG has popped up once tonight saying it has detected a trojan and it healed. I've restarted my laptop and all but this is pretty strange to me guys. Any help would be greatly appreciated....
