awesome - thank you - so now how do I best prevent this from happening again? I am obviously worried about surfing the net and emails. Will something like AVG free take care of that or do I need more?? Or do I just use one of these that I have now downloaded??
Okay so I will download avg free and then we should be good to go. If I start having problems I will be back.. LOL I have two other computers so I will be back once I let people back on this one...

Well.... I thought all was well.... I was installing AVG free and ran into one of my original problems which is that I get an error message which says that I have some potentially incompatible software and that it recommends that I uninstall it. {CF746002-94FB-101B-8C12-02608C454BFF} I however have no idea what this is. It gives me a choice to skip removing it or to remove it which takes me to add/remove programs.
