| On my dads Dell, it was infected with a worm I am pretty sure. The progarms slowly started to not work. I would click on them and that dumb searching thing with the flash light came up. Eventually it took everything. So I reformatted and installed all the drivers and software. Everything was back to norml. So I go back to my business. What I didn't know was my dad pc had a external HD(Maxtor). I did nothing to it as in reformatting the ex. hd. My dad starts to configure the Maxtor HD back and boom as soon as he gets it connected the virus takes over again. Is this normal? I figure it is. I am guessing the virus got into the external HD and got back on the pc when it was hooked back up. Any solution to this beside reformating both HD's it is freakin annoying. |

| Monster Techie | Sure! Do an antivirus scan. You can get Avast! Antivirus software for free. Avast! is quick and reliable and is completely free. You can find it at www.avast.com . Install, run a scan, and attempt to quarantine the virus file(s). -Dan The Man |
