| Monster Techie | Well, while I check... You are currently using HijackThis from a temporary directory, this can cause problems. HijackThis creates backups, these are needed in case of any recovery issues. Please create a directory on your C:\ drive called C:\HJT, download and unzip HijackThis into that directory. Run the program from that directory from now on. STEPS For Creating Folder
DO NOT MAKE ANY CHANGES OR CLICK "FIX CHECKED" UNTIL WE CHECK THE LOG, AS SOME OF THE FILES ARE LEGIT AND VITAL TO THE FUNCTION OF YOUR COMPUTER Liz

| Monster Techie | Once you have moved your HiJack log to it's new home, then you may proceed with this fix. There is a good reason for asking it to be moved. When we clear out the temp directories, if it is residing in the temp area, it will be cleared out as well and anything you did with it will be undone. A desktop is considered a temporary home. Before attacking an adware/spyware problem with hijackthis make sure you have already run Ad-Aware SE with VX2 Add-on Cleaner, SpyBot-Search & Destroy (with updated database) and Coolweb Shredder as these programs will clean a lot of the crap out first. Ok..on to the logâ¦.. Run an online a/v scan with one of these programs: Kaspersky Scan Online Panda Scan Online Virus Scan Bitdefender Scan Run a scan, preferably with Bitdefender. Be sure and Check Auto Clean. Make a note of anything it can't remove. Run Hijack This again and put a check by these. Close ALL windows except HijackThis and click "Fix checked" R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Page = C:\WINDOWS\blank.htm R3 - Default URLSearchHook is missing O2 - BHO: CDownCom Class - {031B6D43-CBC4-46A5-8E46-CF8B407C1A33} - C:\WINDOWS\DOWNLO~1\ipreg32.dll O2 - BHO: Explorer Class - {962F12AE-2773-4BEB-99EA-B5C3AB9A6606} - C:\WINDOWS\System32\DSMANA~1.DLL O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [ControlPanel] C:\WINDOWS\System32\cmd32.exeinternat.dll,LoadKeyb oardProfile O4 - HKLM\..\RunOnce: [Srv32 spool service] C:\WINDOWS\System32\spoolsrv32.exe O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [pnrreqx] c:\windows\judimcf.exe O4 - HKCU\..\RunOnce: [Srv32 spool service] C:\WINDOWS\System32\spoolsrv32.exe O15 - Trusted IP range: 67.19.178.84 O15 - Trusted IP range: 67.19.178.84 (HKLM) O16 - DPF: ChatSpace Full Java Client 3.1.0.229 - http://surechat.com:9000/Java/cfs31229.cab O16 - DPF: {14A3221B-1678-1982-A355-7263B1281987} - ms-its:mhtml:file://C:\foo.mht!http://82.179.166.145/x15.chm::/trs15.exe O16 - DPF: {56336BCB-3D8A-11D6-A00B-0050DA18DE71} (RdxIE Class) -http://software-dl.real.com/2579296...ip/RdxIE601.cab O18 - Filter: text/html - {B72F75B8-93F3-429D-B13E-660B206D897A} - (no file) [b]O18 - Filter: text/plain - {B72F75B8-93F3-429D-B13E-660B206D897A} - (no file) O21 - SSODL: MSDBS32SP1 - {B03A1FC7-1563-4DFE-9C05-461DADEA5C3A} - C:\WINDOWS\System32\wmpctftp.dll O23 - Service: Sub Connections - Unknown - C:\WINDOWS\System32\shmyga.exe Restart to Safe Mode Because XP will not always show you hidden files and folders by default, Go to Start > Search and under "More advanced search options". | Monster Techie | I think you fixed that folder with either the Vx2 addon or the CWShredder. So don't worry about it, it's gone. Print this out before doing this because once in safe mode you will not be able to access these instructions. Restart to Safe Mode Run Hijack This again and put a check by these. Close ALL windows except HijackThis and click "Fix checked" R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Int ernet Settings,ProxyOverride = *new-search.net*;*x-google.net* O4 - HKLM\..\RunOnce: [Srv32 spool service] C:\WINDOWS\System32\spoolsrv32.exe O4 - HKCU\..\RunOnce: [Srv32 spool service] C:\WINDOWS\System32\spoolsrv32.exe O16 - DPF: {14A3221B-1678-1982-A355-7263B1281987} - ms-its:mhtml:file://C:\foo.mht!http://82.179.166.145/x15.chm::/trs15.exe Navigate to the C:\Windows\Temp folder. Open the Temp folder and go to Edit > Select All then Edit > Delete to delete the entire contents of the Temp folder. Go to Start > Run and type %temp% in the Run box. The Temp folder will open. Click Edit > Select All then Edit > Delete to delete the entire contents of the Temp folder. Finally go to Control Panel > Internet Options. On the General tab under "Temporary Internet Files" Click "Delete Files". Put a check by "Delete Offline Content" and click OK. Click on the Programs tab then click the "Reset Web Settings" button. Click Apply then OK. Reboot Empty the Recycle Bin Then post another log. Liz
