HijackThis Log and some info

My computer has been infected for a couple of days now. It started with one of those stupid msn viruses that ask you to click on a link. I have run mutliple sweeps with Spybot Search&Destroy and Ad-Aware, both of them updated, but they keep coming back. Some of the spyware I keep finding is Altnet which Spybot cannot remove and always finds and Smitfraud-C Toolbar.

Now Interet Explorer isn't working so I'm using Firefox. HijackThis seems to be behaving strangely as well, when I do a scan and ask it to save a log, it doesn't save one, when I tell it to scan & make a log at the same time it gets a send error report and closes but does save a log. I did a quick comparison of what the scan showed when it didn't crash to what the log says when it did and they appear to be the same anyway.

I believe the msn virus is gone, as soon as I got it msn started acting strangely and I was bombarded with trojans and adware that I imagine it downloaded. I uninstalled msn, disconnected and ran multiple scans, which seemed to get rid of most of the trojans and adware/spyware but a couple have been persistent. Here's a log from HJT after those fixes.

I've noticed several programs add themselves to the startup list such as NvCpl, RunDLL32 and ctfmon are these normal processes?

After running HijackThis and getting the above log I did another scan with Spybot S&D which found Altnet and Smitfraud-C.Toolbar888 as well as Avenue A and DoubleClick tracing cookies. On the off chance they were false positives I didnt fix them but ran Ad-Aware to see if it found anything. It found 1 tracing cookie. So is it possible that the spyware and malware I'm finding is just a false positive, or is Ad-Aware just not finding them?

when spybot finds the toolbar, what is the location of it? did you update spybot and is it the latest version?

Spybot has been updated and it is version 1.4. Smitfraud is found in
HKEY_Local_Machine\SOFTWARE\Araf15
as well as in a tracing cookie in Internet Explorer.

Something strange is going on in my computer as well. Everytime I tried to run IE I got a send error report error, in kernel32. So I switched over to firefox, but it also affected BitComet my BT client. Just now I tried to run BitComet and I followed a link in the error it gave to update it to the latest version, it opened the site.. in IE. I got the same error message as when I opened IE usually, but the window didn't close.
So right now I'm actually writing this from an IE window. Is it possible that this error in IE is caused by spyware trying to block me from the internet? I know the HJT log seemed clean, but I ran Ewido or AVG Anti-spyware, whichever its called, and it found several trojans and highjackers as well as dozens of tracer cookies. It also found a folder in my registry entitled Altnet that it couldn't remove.
