|  Is there a very quick way to tell apart iTouch vs iPhone?
At work (school district) students are allowed to have MP3 players under certain situations, but NOT cell phones.
One student in particular was caught "texting" but claimed it was an iTouch.
I know you can look at the phone and see signal bars and stuff but I'm curious if there's a quick "at a glance" way to tell these two devices apart.
Any tips?

If its an iTouch, it won't have a volume control button like the iPhone.
EDIT:
I just realized that the Gen 2 iTouch has the side buttons like the iPhone.
If you make the person turn it on, and it says iPod at the top left, then you know its an iTouch. If it says a carrier and has the bars you know its an iPhone.

The iPod Touch is also pretty thin in comparison to the iPhone.

On the back it will say iPhone or iPod. Also, if it's bigger than 32 GB you know it's an iTouch.

easiest way to tell, the Vibrate/loud switch above the sound rockers. its easy to notice and you dont have to study it. (:

there's the speaker bar at the top of the iphone, there isn't that at the top of the itouch.

iPhones have cameras, iPods don't
