Default Reverse engineering Samsung Slim CDMA

I've got a new Samsung Slim CDMA (SCH-N356). I searched the net and found (on www.samsungmobile.com) that it has 128MB Flash Memory (I can't believe it anyway). Can anyone tell me what is flash memory? Can some of it be freed to load something else into it? Can I write a program for playing MP3s into my phone? What is the Language in which Programs for this phone are written? What is the format for Polyphonic tones in this phone? (is it midi or wav?)
