Hi guys, as much of a newb as I am with computers, it's nothing compared to the music world. I don't listen and don't really care what format, song, style whatever.....but as it turns out I've married a music lover who now wants something portable to jog with and listen to her music.

So for x-mas I'm going to get her one....but need advice, here is the criteria in ranking order of priority:

1) can convert CD's to it
2) size: 4GB minimum
3) easy to download music and copy to player
4) relatively durable
5) looks cool
6) easy to use

She loves the pink ipod nanos and I have no problem paying for quality which it looks to be....but i don't know th download process and CD converting etc... does it meet our needs? are their cheaper/better alternatives to the nano (well, i know there are cheaper, what about better?)

There is iTunes for getting your CDs, DVDs, mp3 and videos into the iPod.

well.. iPod's are good... but be an original.. and get a Creative Zen or a Sandisk Sansa... since for the Nano's price it has Video Capability too.... give me a moment for a link... thats if i can find one..
