Angry --- Is my MP3 player TOAST???

I have this Toshiba gigabeat F20 Mp3 player and when I try to turn it on, it loads half way and then just stays there. If I try to plug it in to my computer, the computer doesn't see it. Is there anything I can do to fix it or should I just toss it in the trash?

there must be a recovery/reset mode by pressing a certain combination of buttons, look it up in your manual, if that doesn't work, then abandon all hope

I'm thinking you have a sound file on there that it isn't compatible with...that's what happened with me, anyway. Try a firmware update.

That's the thing. When I plug it in, the computer does not recognize it. When I try the firmware update, it says "please connect the device to your computer" even though I connected it in 93 different times.

Toshiba sucks or well let me refrase that MICROSOFT SUCKS!!! I got a toshiba gigabeat and it didn't work with my computer to put files on it. Anyway I went to a friends house and used his computer. Vista worked fine with the gigabeat but xp didn't work with it at all. You could try vista or if you have vista try xp.
