lost security code

hi!
i recently bought a new NOKIA 2100 manufactured in june 04
what i used to do is, change the security code to different combinations every day
one fine day, as usual i changed the security code and locked the key pad...
when i tried to key-in the security code.....
the msg displayed was CODE ERROR
what could be the possible cause for this....
what should i do to reset the security code
what i did was i took off the battery for a while and switched on the phone again, then no security code was asked at the begining but when i locked the key pad the same problem continues

then another problem in this model is that
the mobile power-offs and restarts by itz own
this happens i guess when there is no operator signal
is this normal???

how should i confirm that the mobile i bought is a genuine NOKIA???
please help me in this matter
