How can i backup my music from my ipod to my pc? i have an ipod touch. I was using this free program called Music Rescue, but it seems it cannot find my ipod when its plugged in. Anyone know any other free programs i can use to copy music from my ipod to pc? thanks!

How do you have music if its not on your PC? If you plug the ipod in and go to my computer does it show up there as a mass storage device? If it does then you can probarbly just open it up and your music will be in a file somewhere in there.

Plug the device into your PC! As you normally would don't start up itunes. Go into computer. Make sure HIDDEN FILES is enabled. And then look in your ipod there should be some weird directorys have a look through them and your music should be there. The music will be funny names such a WSDFSDH. Just put them into itunes and it will recognise the track names.

Also be carefull make sure to copy them onto your HD. And be careful make sure u don't screw it up!

Make sure you enable hidden files through the control panel otherwise ur files will not appear!
