 |  iPhone 3G is finally offical! iPhone 3G is finally official, starts at $199, available July 11th - Engadget I'm not a big apple guy and i no nothing about iPhones but this looks pretty big. $199! I actually might get one

| Re: iPhone 3G is finally offical! As I unerstand it, the chip technology for those faster speeds we were promised in the first place is finally small enough to fit into this small of a form factor. So I can get this instead of an Ipod Touch, right? Can I really buy the phone for $199 and not sign up for any phone service, then just use the Ipod functions? Or is it only $199 if you sign up for a phone plan as well. Cuz I've got a year left with Verizon Wireless.

It would be cool if i could have like a pre paid deal on the calls, since i don't use my mobile that much and just have it for numbers and the occasional call, but with that a cheap net plan for $10-$15 a month. = happy

If it basically works a similar way to i think it does then i could be using the iPhone for calls, lol. Also do you know how the whole AT&T thing works internationally?

| Re: iPhone 3G is finally offical! i really want a cool phone. Maybe a NVIDIA Tegra depends on the price. Maybe $300 for the 16GB. Not sure if I can use my current Cingular/AT&T card on the new phone or need to wait till end of December to finish my 2 year contract
