I think I just bricked my Ipod.

I was trying to get "rockbox" off my Ipod First Gen Nano 4G.

I don't know what to do it will not turn on by any means. I was wondering what you guys think I should do or if you have ever had this happen to you.

i think it still works but you'll have no songs..

It wont turn on so you can't format it.

i did the exact same thing to my 2gb nano a while back...but for the life of me i cant remember how i fixed it...but i know there is a way...so keep searching and if i remember i'll tell you

so he can't plug it in and format using Windows?

EDIT nvm: ur right.. it powers on.... then it says "Do Not Disconnect"

OPen her up and there should a battery with a thin strip connector that does to the board, check if that didnt get disconnected

1 question when you plug the charger to the ipod does it get any signal? if no then you got a unsoldered connection on the ipod's main board

Not at all, it doesn't turn on and I have tried all the button combinations and it doesn't work.

This happened when I used to the boot loader to get rockbox off my ipod.
