| Hey guys. I just bought a Linksys Wireless-G Modem Router ADSL WAG54G (analog) Link: http://www.dsl-warehouse.co.uk/produ...=WAG54G&pm=877 I have a Wi-Fi motherboard on PC1: Mainboard ASUS P5AD2 Deluxe Link: http://www.motherboards.com/product_...ucts_id=32307& And i got a Wireless-G USB WUSB54G for my laptop (PC2). So, here's the thing. Im new to wi-fi, and i would like to know if its possible to use the router without being connected to the internet, like a normal router without modem. Also, how should i do this? Im aiming to have both the PC1 and the PC2 connected via radio to the router. how to do this? or should i have at least one wire cable connected to my router? Here's a rough view of what i want: ---- = Wire ~~ = Radio PC1~~~~~~~~ ~ PC2~~~~~~~~ WI-Fi Router 1------------- ADSL Internet ~ PC3~~~~~~~~ Both my OS's are WinXP, freshly installed. I guess its pretty simple, but i've tried it without success. If you guys know a good tutorial or site that teaches this, please help me out. Thanks |
