Cell phone internet

I have an LG phone and was wondering if I can connect to the internet via my laptop. I see I can get a data cable for my phone thats hooks into USB. Can anyone shed any light on this? Thanks

You should be able to do that, there may be a certain software that you have to have to make it work right, or it just might be a simple driver. Check around the net and see if you can find Laptop to Cell Phone internet software that is compatible with your phone. I dont really know why you want to use a cell phone for I-net access anyway, because its gonna be like 14.4K, but I guess that it would be kinda cool. Hopes this helps some
