| bold vs. iphone i am thinking of getting rid of my verizon service to go to at&t for either the bold or the iphone. i have really enjoyed my service with verizon, but they are ridiculous with their lag on getting the new phones (i've heard it's at least 6 months before they can market them or something...)
my first question, any suggestions with switching from verizon to at&t?
second, bold or iphone?
if bold, should i just wait until verizon gets their version of the bold this month?
any help is more than welcomed and i thank you! |

| Re: bold vs. iphone Personally I'd like the iPhone. The bold is fine and all, speedy little thing. But for what you get out of it, wwaaaaaayyy too expensive.

| Re: bold vs. iphone I think it's been generally accepted that, performance wise, iPhones are outperformed by Bolds. But for the performance you DO get from the iPhone, the price is very nice.
So I guess it all boils down to how much you're willing to spend. If cash is not an issue, go with the bold. If it is, or if you just can't be stuffed spending a lot more for just a little extra gain, then go with the iPhone. And between the 3G and 3GS, all I have to say is the 3GS IS worth the extra $$

| Re: bold vs. iphone I'm going to have to agree with Pete and Soul, the Bolds are a good bit faster, but I'd take the iPhone because of the bang for the buck in terms of speed compared to the Bolds. (even though personally I hate Apple, but I've got to use both at work and looked at the company budgets involving both, but I like the iPhone) |

| Re: bold vs. iphone I was tempted to get a Bold recently but in the end decided the new iphone is probably the best choice at the moment. I'm going to be patient and wait to see what the Storm 2 has to offer later in the year before buying any. Although Nokia N97 and Samsung Omnia are close contenders to consider (I don't really like the Omnia but some people love it).

| Re: bold vs. iphone I would avoid the iphone 3GS because of it's overheating issues which can be severe enough to discolor the white version of the phone. Apple iPhone 3GS Overheating Reports |
