Apple Blacklisting Hacked iPhones?

If you have modded your iPhone, don’t expect Apple to service your phone. Apparently Apple stores are telling people with modded phones that their "warranty was voided and “blacklisted” the phone against future service, or return." ZDNet had a great piece of advise to anyone in this situation…do a system restore before you take it in to be serviced.

Because it had been “hacked” with some 3rd party apps and was running T-Mobile they refused to service it, said the warranty was voided and “blacklisted” the phone against future service, or return!
