Dual channel has a slight benefit on latency and bandwidth, but it does not double it.
I just went and double checked this. You called it, gaara. I was wrong. I knew that it didnt affect performance too much....

*sigh* I've been with computers for a while now, yet I still bust out n00bish comments like that

Note: Dual channel isn't going to improve game play. It only helps me slighlty when I am mastering huge 1 gig audio multi-tracks running in adobe audition (recording studio stuff) and the increase in processing speed is nice but marginal. A friend who does large scale graphic design stuff says it's a big help to him but for the rest of us it's just 10 more horse power on corvette.....whooopdeedoo!

Ok I have a question in relation to RAM. On my comp i just got BF2 and i have 1024 MB of RAM. I would like to get at least 1GB or more. My question is what RAm is best to buy?(brand, size, price, ect.) Cause im still a noob with comps.

very well done. I particulary liked your comparison of AMD/Intel.

Very well written and a good guide. This will definitely cut down on the amount of threads that are out there that ask people what they should buy, heh. We should have more threads like this.

I may make one. :P

yeah, if anyone asks: Amd vs Intel, we will just point them to this thread or quote PC_Boy with his RC Truck thing.
