| RV790, GT212 & i7 Triple-SLI & Quad-CrossfireX AMD: RV790 going to against NVIDIA G200B Quote: |
AMD sells well the RV770 based HD-4870 and HD-4850 while NVIDIA G200 has many problems. In Q4, NVIDIA possible release the G200B which will decrease the cost hand heat, NVIDIA also possible to improve its clock. It will also cut the power comsumption with new design and technology.
| HARDSPELL.COM-AMD: RV790 going to against NVIDIA G200B Nvidia GT212 with 384 SPs in Q2/2009 Quote:
It looks like Nvidia's upcomming Next-Generation-Chip, GT212, will launch after RV870 in Q2/2009. GT212 won't support DirectX11 and will have 384 SPs instead of 240 SPs (GT200).
It will be the second Nvidia-40nm-Chip. Before, in Q1/2009, Nvidia will launch the GT216. It is a GT200 @ 40nm.

The combination of Intel's Core i7 with 3-way SLI or Quad-Crossfire shows two things: the by far best 3D performance and what the Core 2 successor really is capable of in games.

| Re: RV790, GT212 & i7 Triple-SLI & Quad-CrossfireX Dunno, 384sp and 40nm sounds quite tasty......I'll see what the RV800 is like first though. I wonder if I'll be switching back to the green camp

It seems that there is something wrong |

| Re: RV790, GT212 & i7 Triple-SLI & Quad-CrossfireX One will be a die shrink, one will be a new architecture, that's still pretty early unless they drop the prices on the 40nm GT200
