Even though GTX 280 use a large chip, the power consumption is of this card is very low at idle. At idle, it does consume less power than HD4850 and even 8800GTS 512MB, and just slightly higher than 8800GT

Well to be fair idle power consumption is important...but all the current GPUs have it down pretty well.

low idle power consumption would = less idle heat wouldnt it? That's be nice >.> Not something I'd care overly much about while deciding to buy but it's a nice feature ;p
