they managed to squeeze out a little more OCing performance out of this new chip revision, and with both the 140w and 125w chips priced at $195, these seem look like real enthusiast bang for buck cpus.

Is this a C3 stepping chip?
the C3's which will be coming out have a lower power consumption, and can generally overclock a bit higher.

^ yep that looks like the one. i guess the article was wrong, they arent the same price. but i wouldnt mind paying the extra $5 for the 125w, so not really a big deal.

@ apokalipse, not sure if every 125w version will be c3, but they did point out something to help you differentiate them if youre looking for one.

If you want to pick up one of the new 125W Phenom II X4 965 chips with AMD’s latest C3 revision specifically, your best bet
is to look really close at the CPU’s OPN number. The OPN # for the new C3 revision CPU is HDZ965FBK4DGM. The “M” at the end denotes the new C3 revision.

The OPN for the original 140W part is HDZ965FBK4DGI. This is the CPU that you don’t want, so make sure the OPN # has an “M” at the end. - firingsquad.com

if you live near a pc parts store, maybe theyll let you hand pick whichever one you want, but yea i guess its a small gamble ordering online if youre really after this chip.

If they specifically list two 965's, with both model numbers, that should make it easy.
