Default IT in education system

Do you agree that there is an increasing emphasis of the use of IT in school?

My school uses smartboards, which are possibly the stupidest things ever. They try to get us "aquainted" with technology. There is one other kid at my school who has ever built a working computer. The teachers are still amazed for hours on end at microsoft's "Alt land". I wish i lived in some kind of futuristic metropolis. You know they tried to make one of those in canada when the ac plant was built around Niagra Falls. Hah, the Canadian utopia. RUN!!!
