| Newegg.com - Intel Core 2 Duo E7200 Wolfdale 2.53GHz 3MB L2 Cache LGA 775 65W Dual-Core Processor - CPUs / Processors This is the new budget Wolfdale processor, it is $4 cheaper than E4700, and it is just slightly behind E6750 in terms of performance (At stock speeds) Also, this processor consume low power, and it does overclock very well

| Clocking is not quite as good as the e8400s and e8500s but yeah they are great processors for the money. Mostly I've seen the E7200s do around 3.8-4ghz on voltages under 1.4V...and they don't seem to perform any better in games than the E6xxx series. So if you already have a decent clocking E6xxx chip then don't bother upgrading to this one. In 3dmark06 cpu tests they seem to give the same cpu score that E6xxx series do clock for clock. Just saying this because I was looking into selling my E6750 and grabbing one of these, but it just aint worth it for me. |
