Blockbuster to Offer Video Downloads

What’s the old saying? If you can’t beat them, join them? Well, it looks like Blockbuster has figured that out and plans to offer video downloads.

The movie rental company has partnered with Sonic Solutions to offer more than 10,000 movies for rent and sale to a variety of PCs, cell phones, portable media players, Internet-connected televisions, and Blu-ray disc players.

if i can do this on a pay-per-movie kinda thing instead of the netflix subscribe that would be great.

i've never 'download' movies through anyone, what quality does it offer and what format/size are downloads?
can i get 1080P quality?
