Default 4850 Game Benchmarks!

Finally, game benchmarks... more games should be up today.

call of juarez 1920 x 1200 4 x AA default settings.

Finally some XP testing. I use service pack 3 on XP media center 2005, Basically XP Pro.

I had immense problems with crysis benchmark utilities on 64 bit ultimate. the bench app would start the game at the july 7 screen and proceed to be the game not the beach flyover that it should be. I re-installed twice, both the game and applications as well as the patch. also tried without the patch. any advice is welcome. On XP it runs fine though so lets see how it fares.

I'm going to say that performs superbly, check out the Crysis one 1920x1200 and it still gets 19-25 FPS, thats around a 9800gtx level right?

From what I've seen 9800GTX @ stock gets around 35-38fps 1680x1050 all high no AA. I don't know about the other resolutions though. So considering Crysis is one of those games that adores g80/g92 architecture I'd say the 4850 results are pretty good.

Also you have to remember the 4850 and 4870 are midrange and mid-high cards, respectively. The 4870x2 will be ATIs high end.

Well it is Crysis, and its engineered to perform better on nVidia's cards

Apparently the guy got the card from FXVideoCards.com

EDIT: this store is somewhere around where I live..\

EDIT 2: does this mean than the HD4600 series will perform like an HD3850 256mb?

Here's the exact same settings on an 8800GT SLI setup....stock 4850 only 4fps away from a 8800GT SLI setup on a nvidia game. Not bad at all

There will come a day, such a day when all will be told more than they wish to know, what one hears may explain the past, it may explain the future, but it has never made a difference either way and it will change nothing. No one knows, the 4600 series has not even been announced yet as far as I'm aware.
