Default Your pick for the best movie of the year.

Okay it's nearing the end of the year, so I decided to ask everyone here what they think the best movie of the year is, so far. I haven't seen The Wrestler or Slumdog Millionaire yet, two movies I think potentially could be it, but as of now In Bruges is my pick; It beat out Let the Right One In, an amazing foreign vampire film, by a fraction.

If you haven't seen In Bruges, it's about two hitmen who retreat to a fantasy like city in Belgium after a botched job. The character development and dialogue are masterful, and the acting, especially by Colin Ferrel (an actor I don't particularly care for) is exceptional.

What are your guys picks (think about it very hard before you say The Dark Knight :-P)?

I havent seen that many movies this year. I think the most i seen was TDK, Mummy, and then the kids stuff. So yeah my vote will have to go to The Dark Knight cause it was one of the few films i got to actually see this year.

Yes call me biased cause of my Avy and that. But that is the truth. When you get to go see like 2 movies a year and get to watch like 10 more there isnt much choice in the matter.

Just looked i have yet to see such movies as Heckboy II, 88 minutes, Chronicles of Narnia Prince Caspian. So yeah i missed a lot this year.

I would say Kung Fu Panda. Only cause the baby makes me watch it with her at least once a week.

I didn't mean anything by it, Dark Knight was a good movie, but I just wanted people to maybe give it an extra thought before deciding. But I will say, the Dark Knight probably is the best mainstream movie this year.

21 was by far the best movie I've seen this year. Everyone loved Iron man, but I didn't really buy into the hype.

Would love to see Hulk though, seeing as how Edward Norton is one of my favorite actors of all time.

My pick would probably be Cloverfield... only for it's originality. At the end of it me and the misses were gob smacked at how awesome it was.

Negative. No plans of any kind have been made for the third batman movie. Christopher Nolan hasn't even penned anything he has thought about keeping yet.
