Of course I remember my first computer. It was a Pentium 2 300MHz, Windows 95, not sure of the ram i think either 64mb or 128mb, probably onboard graphics, and a 15" monitor. It was able to play Carmageddon 2 and House of the Dead. I remember when my dad bought it, I had the latest and fastest computer on the block. And all my friends would come over to check it out heh. Oh yea it was an IBM.

First computer was a 486 probably like 33mhz in turbo. Ran dos and i used to play carmen sandiego and castle of dr brain on it. Without a mouse. My dad figured we didnt really need one. That of course was the family computer, but MY first computer was a Pentium II piece of junk. My dad gave it to me when he "upgraded" his to a PIII 500mhz.

***Moved thread***

Tandy ColorComputer2 w/16KB RAM and an external tape drive. No floppy (cost about $300 for the 5 1/2" floppy drive). No hard drive (home computers were regarded as 'toys' and didn't have them).

Well, it wasn't mine personally, but I literally do not remember not having a computer in the house. We had an IBM which had a black and yellow monitor and a dot matrix printer, and an Apple II which had the black and green monitor. I wish I knew the specific names of them, but I was quite young, although I think I remember typing my Mission report on that IBM in the fourth grade. Maybe my grandfather knows...

The first one I built was summer/fall of 2001 after I graduated high school. It had a Athlon 1.4 ghz and a 60gb hard drive. It was before the Athlon XPs and the 1400+ style naming scheme.
