* Apple Inc.
* Dell
* Hewlett Packard
* Hitachi
* LG Electronics
* Mitsubishi Electric
* Panasonic (Matsu****a Electric)
* Pioneer Corporation
* Royal Philips Electronics
* Samsung Electronics
* Sharp Corporation
* Sony Corporation
* Sun Microsystems
* TDK Corporation
* Thomson
* Twentieth Century Fox
* Walt Disney Motion Pictures Group / Buena Vista Home Entertainment
* Warner Home Video Inc.
if you hate any of those companies don't buy Blu-ray. \Honestly that is childish, after living with Blu0ray for more than a year, I'm "HD Spoiled" i can no longer stand SDTV or EDTV broadcasts not even DishHD or over the air HD can satisfy my High Definition needs only Blu-ray can. And with the sub $300 dollar players coming out this year everyone will start making a choice. |

I for one hate the PS3 and will never buy it. I also do not owna XBOX 360 so dont think i am a XBOX fanboi either. I have a Wii but yet i dont make any comments on how the Wii actually uses full motion with their remotes over the 6 axis. Plus the Wii has a speaker and rumble. Which Sony nor XBOX does. Yet the Wii doesn look as good....Wah!
Get over it. Now Paramount has stated they are not gong to Blu-Ray. So i wouldnt worry about that. Yes Blu-Ray might be something big. But HD-DVD isnt all that bad either. What about HD-VMD? Forget about that one already. That uses current technology to produce HD. No new DVD players. No new DVD's.:eek: So you dont have to spend any money to get HD with VMD. If any format woudl win i would think that one would over both Blu-Ray and HD-DVD.
TheEnd you are a good person and you have helped alot of people. But this constant promotion of Sony and all things Sony is getting old. Just ask people who visit the Windows area who see topics about Vista and my reactions. They are sick of it. Which we are getting sick of your actions with this PS3 stuff. It is fine that you like it and adore it. But stop trying to push it on everyone like it was our savior.
Sorry just had to say that.

Sorry just had to say that. | Sai nothing about the PS3 in here,only the BDA. yup i have 7 HD-VMD players right now i saw the m at my local store and online. Sorry it's too late for HD-VMD and yes you would need new hardware since you wouldn't be able to get any of the new audio codecs to work. and most current hardware isnt even EDTV capable.
As for Wii it was fun for 2 minutes, until i tried red steel, and barfed at the gfx. and the whacky motion controls, its fun but not all the time. and my PS3 remote has Rumble on it, it may not be in north america yet, but it will soon.
Wii
*Sensor Bar
*needs batteries
*480p max rez
*not capable of any HD format playback9eg DuD or BD)
*nunchuck+remote does not feel natural
*outdated hardware
*please throw sales numbers at me.
*Wii fit is so uber cool(runs to gym to cancel membership)[/sarcasm]
It looked innovative but sadly mine just collected dust, and it was modded so i could play all the games, gave it to 3 year old brother he completely trashed it, meh. Don't really care fr it not even Mario Galaxy or Metroid interest me, only good game is Smash Bros Brawl, but the fun wears out in less than a week for those games for me.
Paramount stated it will stay, so what with all the curent studios backng Blu-ray it now controls over 75% of movies available on HDM, and i think 2 more porn studios just jumped to BD. not that orn will win the war anyways.
EDIT:Besides prices for Blu-ray players is falling rapidly thanks to competition in the Hardware market, unlike Toshiba which emplyos M$ tactics which flooded the market with Cheap 1080i players, leaving other CE's out in the blue. those 100K HDDVD players sold in one week were all Liquidated and only 1080i.

| Re: Yet another Blu Ray thread...... If I had to pick between blu-ray and HD-DVD, I'd pick blu-ray, hands down.
But I'm still not going to buy into it unless/until prices come down to a non-ridiculous level.

EDIT: why not boycott M$ by not buying HDDuD? especially with Toshiba emplying M$ tactics of monopolizing, not software but hardware.
