did any of yall watch the game yesterday. oh man it was a good championship game. i'm a carolina fan, ever since 2nd grade. glad to see that my team won, but i wasn't counting on it. i had seen illinois play earlier in the tourney and they seemed faster than the tar heels. just to let you know, Sean May (the N.C. center), beat his father's record in the 1976 national title. they both had 26 points in the championship game, but Sean May had 10 rebounds instead of his father's 8 rebounds. Its a dissapointment that such a cocky school with a jerk coach won.

Illinois was a TEAM of players. Unlike UNC's 'coach', non of them had been there let alone won. They have never had to deal with that kind of pressure.

Remind you that Wake forest beat UNC by atleast ten points, and Illinois beat Wake Froest by 16. Illinois lost their LAST game in regular season, posting a 26-1 record. This is a team that everyone usually classifies as average.

Not only are they a great athletic team, the school is rated in the TOP five for Engineering and ocmputer science, business, and special financle fields. Its a solid school.

The most awesome thing about the Illinois team is the fact that U of I is a STATE school!!!

UNC has people from flordia and california and all other states, recruiting the entire country getting whoever they please. Illinois has kids FROM illinois, and dont reach kids out of state.

Yet they still make it inot the NCAA Championship Game. You can't tell me that isn't incredible.

i never said what illinois did was not incredible. **** they did an awesome job, and alot of credit to number 5 on the illinois team. he was awesome. you mentioned that unc lost to wake forest and illinois beat wake. well who beat illinois last night? Also keep this in mind, the UNC Men's BBall team has the highest academic scores outuv any other ncaa bball team in the nation. UNC is also the 3rd best public university in the nation as well.

Public means nothing. UNC gets ANYONE They want in the nation, they have that reputation.

Yeah IL lost to them, I admitt they couldnt handle the pressure, none of them have ever experience it. 12/40 on three pointers, but still only lost by 5 - not bad.
