Default Will the ipod ever die????

http://www.foronceandforall.com.nyud...ipod-ever-die/

WILL THE IPOD DIE?, or will our grandchildren still want new ipods?

i just thought that this would be an interesting article for people to talke about.

i personally own(ed) and ipod mini. i got it for free when i opened a citibank account. but i did not like it because u must use "itunes" to load songs on it. so i got a 20gb creative zen touch for 89$. i like my creative because i like to stay away from the crowd. but the interface on the creative is not as good as the ipod's. the sound is the same. but i do not particularly like the looks of the creative because its thick.

Creative players are very good, generally the same thing for less $. I doubt the ipod will stay on top for that long. There's always going to be something to replace it, although it may take a while since they seems to be leading the market in innovations and maybe sales too.
Also I've got a 4gb Ipod nano for cheap via my work. I don't mind having to use Itunes since you can convert most stuff to it anyways.

ipod will die, like any other technology. They'll have competition, since it's a hot selling item, and some1 out there is gonna be crazy and make something super cool that will take out the ipod. probably some japanese dude or something.

Yep, and will go down and history becuase the two longest never-dieing things in the entire world will be walmart and the ipod. Either that or they will morph together and form one giant corporation dominating all of man-kind for all eternity untill satan himself claims Earth back as his own muahahahahhaha

....lol

On a serious note, why hasn't south park ranted about the ipod? I mean, they mock every piece of **** in the entire world like the Walmart episode and the WOW episode, why not apple/ipod? Or have I just been in a cave for the past years and haven't realized they have made that episode

until a technology revolution, no

will windows ever die?

windows is to computers as iPods are to media players:
it's definatelly not the best option, and there are others out there, but people will choose an iPod because other people have it, and they already know how to use it with their most favoritest player ever, iTunes

pretty much everything with a lowercase "i" in front of it sucks at playing videos... imovie, itunes, ipod, iriver, iphoto (lol), iLIFE!

wheres the love for AVI?!

but again, like i said, it won't die anytime soon. Until there is a new technological breakthrough of some kind that companies race after to release, maybe holigraphic support or projection or something, and M$/Creative beats em to it, it won't die

ipod = microsoft (Windows)
creative = apple (OS X)
other = Linux

I hate when people refer to a portable device as an "iPod" ... I'm like "It's not an iPod, trick, it's a cell phone."
