Default Why would you want to password protect a P2P file?

This is mainly letting off some steam because I just downloaded a 700mb episode of Prison Break that took me 3 straight days and I go to unzip it and it's password protected? What in gods name would you do that? The whole reason to file share is to... hmmm maybe share? The file was in about 20 zip files for some reason and I know you've got to unzip them all at once. But anyway, maybe someone knows how to get past this password protection?

I've wanted to know that myself....I've gotten a couple before where they want you to go sign up at their forums, then make atleast 3 posts and after which you'll get access to the 'password' area to unlock the thing.......what the **** is the point of forcing people to sign up in which they'll simply spam then leave.

Don't know of a way to get by it, but I wish I knew myself for those rare occasions that the same thing that happens to me.
