Question Why

I have seen so many people in a situation where they have a problem or a small question to ask and post it here without even trying to google things. Why do people need to post questions easily obtainable from google? Its just beginning to bug me now.

(glad to get that off my chest )

You can find anything that you want with Google, even the WRONG answers to questions.

Alot of times, it's nice to come to a forum and ask real people or just get the interaction. Though I would prefer that someone new search the forum for answers, the noob might not even know how to do that yet.

I think we were all there once, unless you're a bumblebee that was born with all the knowledge that you'll ever need for your entire life (which would mean that you could defecate and smell flowers).

wouldnt*

yeah it would anyway. as you cant get advice from google just reviews. Using a forum lets people talk to people that have actually used certian hardware or software. I just mean the small questions that dont need to be posted here. as i mentioned above "how do i reformat a hdd?" is a question i saw not that long ago. Will be a lot quicker just to use google for that.

BTW i have nothing against this forum, its great

You can't have intelligent discussions with a search engine as far as I know.

Also have you noticed how searching on Google actually brings up quite a few forum discussions anyway?

Some people who post those types of questions might have already checked with Google.

I usually assume that what they are looking for is to have someone break it down into simpler bits that they can understand or for warnings that might not have been included in the information they found or for tips that could speed up the process or for a personal recommendation on which guide to use.

The only types of questions that bother me are those that have a stickied thread about them.
