I found out that I was trying to use skin programs to apply suites. I had no idea what I was doing. Someone directed me back to wincustomize.com and told me what to do, and right now I'm staring at a pretty cool new skin using windowblinds.
Few questions about this though...
1. There is no icon in the lower right hand task bar. Isn't there supposed to be an icon there to show it's running? Or do the newer versions not do that? The person I spoke to said he had an icon, but wasn't sure if it was an older version or not.
2. If I am using this WB (WindowBlind) skin, am I using less or more space on the ram than before? For example, if most WB Skins use say 3 megs to run, and the typical Windows explorer uses what, 20 megs to run... Am I using 3 megs because I'm JUST using the WB Skin? Or am I using 23 megs because I'm using WB Skin PLUS Windows explorer? I wasn't too sure what to think of this.
3. Is there anywhere else to get these sort of things? I wasn't too sure if there were other sites I could look at as well to get them. I mean maybe it's not even worth it considering they have a truckload of skins, and already on the 5th page I have a ton downloaded that I like. I just wasn't sure if this site (wincustomize.com) was THE ONLY site to get quality skins or what. Just figured I'd ask.
4. Can someone kind of identify the main differences from suites and skins and anything else similar to that? I mean, skins are just basic GUI alternatives that are built off of Windows (meaning it alters Windows default physical attributes)... But what are suites? And while we're at it, how do skins and themes differ?
