Default Where can I sell old monitors to?

well my dad's a sales manager (or something like that) at a computer recycling company and we have a loooooot have used computer hardware/monitors/printers in my garage that don't work anymore

buuuut some of the monitors DO work, an he doesn't mind if i take them (he gets like a $0.01/pound commision on them, so he doesn't really care)

soo does anyone know where i can sell them for a profit?

the shipping is gonna suck *** though..i think that'll scare away any buyer

If they are CRTs, Good Luck.

Last time we purcashed some second hand monitors, we found that most of them went home with various employees or got used in office.

Normally it does. Last time I shipped one out to some one, the total prices was not that far off buying one brand new.

sell them locally. Put an ad in the paper and be like " I gotz monitorz "

Have people come down and look at the extensive collection of monitors and sell them on the spot to somebody.....

I would put an ad in the paper and sell them for cheap. I hadn't thought of a garage sale but that would be a good idea, too.

heh..thanks for the ideas guys

today i was digging deeper and founds a whole bunch of old motherboard (some use the ALi chipset...wtf is that :\)

also got misc. memory, and a whole bunch of old hard drives, such as this one (same model)

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...Name=WDVW&rd=1

if i do something like that on ebay, would it actually be profitable?

ebay would be kind of a hassle for the monitors themselves, maybe you'd make $5-10 but have to charge like $40 for shipping, if ppl even bought them. The motherboards and memory would be easy to make a buck off of. You could try selling some of that stuff in the Buy/Sell/Trade forum on tech forums, some ppl might be interested.

There are some people that seem to be more addicted to not getting out-bid on items ; as appose to actually knowing the fair independant market value the item they are bidding on.

As a seller, this can be a good thing for you.
