the question remains but the real reason I wanted to post this was to test my new sig...

but if anyone can name a good site to buy computer desks, I need a corner one with lots of shelves... for under $50 I did find one for $43 but it didn't have everything I needed... don't think I haven't looked, I simply want to pay less, and I am sure someone has come across a good site or a store...

I picked up a really nice computer desk for $50, but it was from an estate sale. Very nice, but not brand new.

Actually, DMo hit upon something.

Check out used furniture stores and estate sales. You might find exactly what you are looking for, or something that fits it even better.

Watch the paper for office liquidations. There are many deals to be had in them.

Check with office supply places. Many times they cart off the old office furniture as a service, and they just might cut you a deal (or give it to you to get rid of it).

try any 2nd hand funiture shop.

Better yet. Buy one from IKEA. Take out the screws. Return it back for a refund. Complain about the hassle it was to return the good back. They will then give you a little more money. And then have a freind pick up the desk (minus the screws) at the reject counter at next to nix.

Freind of mine works IKEA in the returns department, and some of the stories amaze me.
