Angry What a headache.

So, i just want to blow off a little steam. I just started at compusa recently and i've kinda been training. So today i get an upgrade with a new maxtor 300 gig SATA drive that windows didnt want to see. Fortunately, i dont have a queue yet so i dont have to worry about leaving a computer without finishing it, but i'm just very upset about the fact that i couldnt get it running. I spent a couple of hours trying to get it to work, before the store closed and i had to give up. *******s!!!

****, suxs. the maxtor hd should have come with a floppy tho, with the drivers to recognize it. when u install windows, when it asks for scsi or 3rd party drivers, press f6, and put in the floppy, and get the drivers, then u should be fine.

In theory, that would work. However, maxtor decided to give me a cd instead. Ran it and made the so-called "driver disk". F6ed it, "intsalled drivers", nothing...

Why'd you bother with a Maxtor HD? Western Digitals and Sea Gates are soooo much better...

Seagate now come standard with 5 year manufacturer's warranty.
I have nothing put trouble from Maxtors.

The only reason why I have one is my current system is that it was warranty replacement on an old quantium.
