And it happens next week... i hope it will go through, because it would be so awsome if it did. But there not sure, because it will cost them £15bn.

I don't see why £15bn is so much. I mean, they will only increase taxes to fund it. And then tell some poor country like africa 'ahh yes you owe us £300Bn'

Just install the stuff and be done with it.

£15bn - what they can sell the existing copper network for = not as much as you may think. BT will only do it if they are forced to.

Atleast there is (upto) 24Mb to look forward to in a couple of years time, should be able to get 16 or so of it.

Yea most big citys on the west of the UK already have the basis for a Fiber system all that needs to happen is the wire to get laid.
