Theres lots and lots and lots of good documentary programs. Im not sure you have Sky Digital TV. But in the UK all i go on is Documentaries, watch americans fight over who was right when installing a modded car door. Or who messed up the bridge, or who failed on Mythbusters.

Equinox is a little old but mostly its docs about weird moments in history new ideas an so forth its on BBC2
