| Re: Tsunami warning for australia I am still here. The ses just came and went. On the beach you can see that the water level has dropped but all I am getting is lots of waves. There are a few people coming out. The hotels and bars are still open. Few people coming out here and there.
Ses has report that is should hit about 10 pm to 11 pm. However do not expect big walls of water.

| Re: Tsunami warning for australia Just came back as it was beginning to rain and it was getting cold and it was starting to rain. However i have noticed that SES and other emergency services have been put on alert. Here a pic. You can see tonight's high tide line and you can just make out where the ocean currently washing up. As some time tonight, the water level did drop by about 2 meters. And it's take about 30cm worth of sand out to sea.
SES is told me that the most we are going to get is a king tide.

| Re: Tsunami warning for australia SES was asking me if there was any one going into the water. They were more worried about that because there is a killer rip tide. Like it removed about 30 cm (1 foot) of sand from the beach. Plus there other comments where "We don't want any idiot surfers thinking they can ride a wave into Penrith

| Re: Tsunami warning for australia Powerful earthquake hits off New Zealand Quote: |
"Sea level readings confirm that a tsunami was generated. It may have been destructive along coasts near the earthquake epicentre," the Centre said, but noted sea levels were only about 20cm above normal.
