Default Toshiba Gigabeat (30gb) vs Creative Zen Vision M

im torn between these 2 players. i like both of them but they both also have their downsides.

the gigabeat is nice and reasonably priced, nice and thin, has many supported formats, and is WMC. But the screen is .1cm less than the zen and only 65k colors. Also the battery is not so good. There is no mic or FM radio recording. And a case for the player is not included. ive also read about some of these players dying within a few days of use.

The creative zen vision m is nice too. there are lots of colors to choose from. it has a 250k color screen. has a mic and fm recording. but the thing is big. its too thick and the price is a bit higher than the gigabeat. heard that the player freezes and no removable battery means your pretty much out of luck. also read that the player parts are of cheap quality (ie headphone jacks breaking and even falling off)

Toshiba is just another one of those japanese companyies that jump from one money making scheme to the next.

Yep

It's because of that Creative's players tend to sound the best as well.

Nothing against Toshiba. Like there notebooks are really good. However the company Toshiba is like 120 something years old, and over history they have been moving on to one get rich quick scheme to another.
Like there were the Toshiba PDA that are no longer around. Give a year or so time, I am sure Gigabeat will be no longer around too.
Like creative had their MP3 players out a LONG time before Apple had the iPOD MP3 Player. Like my boss still has his large 6GB Creative Juke Box (and he still uses it too)
