Default Too Many System Processes

I have a laptop with Windows XP, and it loads way too many processes when I first start it up. Processes for programs I never use like "ItunesHelper" and "IPodService". Is there any screen I can bring up where I can "check" or "uncheck" what programs and processes I want to be loaded when the computer starts up?

It runs much faster after I quit out of these processes through the Windows Task Manager, so I know I don't need them to be running.
