Angry They got me!

Ok, I know that was the stupidest thing to do, but I did it. You know how those sites promise you stuff if you sign up for some offers and sh*t?

Well, I read that this guy (a real guy) got his xbox 360 in like 4 months after signing up for one of these things. He was like I just signed up for 4 offers which cost me like $12 and then I got my 360. He posted pics and the thing was believable. So I was like why not, I could do the same and wait a couple of months after canceling all this junk after the first month...well I was WRONG!!

I created a new email address and went to this SCAM site (supposedly it's legit, but may it burn in ****!)

So yeah it all was ok and on the first page it said to pick one offer. I picked netflix since I've used it before and had no problems. Then on the next page, it said to pick 2 offers. So I picked the BMG music club thing which didn't seem that bad <------------- I really regret choosing that one, I regret the whole thing.

Stupidly I also picked the BMG dvd club which is the same crap.

Then I had to pick two more on the next page. All the offers were mainly web hosting sites, so you had to buy one of the yearly plans (for which I have no use) So in total it would've been like $150 just for one of them. And everything else was at least $50 and useless.

At this point I wanted to kill the computer I was using (not mine).
Then I immediately closed every page. Regretting my actions I decided to cancel everything. I know netflix is ok, I will cancel after a month (I picked the 9.99 plan it isn't so bad).
For the BMG crap I just learned that once you are in, there is no way out.

I'm so stupid!

SO FOR ALL OF YOU:

DO NOT EVER GO TO ANY OF THESE SITES. IT'S NOT WORTH IT.
DON'T BE AN IDIOT LIKE ME.
NO MATTER HOW GOOD IT LOOKS, WELL IT ISN'T!

There probably is a way, it's just a pain in the ***.
And i think you can only cancel after a year!

here is some of the stuff i found, there are many more stories if you follow the link.

Quote:
Tonya of Jacksonville, FL (8/4/05):
I signed up for BMG service last year and I have bought the required purchases to fulfill the contract. But when I tried to cancel the membership (by e-mail), they tell me I opened two accounts at the same time. Two accounts with the same address, same email, and the same name, so now they said I have two contracts to fulfill.

I had not heard from them since my inquiry about this bogus second account, but when I tried to sign onto my account using my screen name and password I am blocked. Now they have cut off my only means of communication with them.

Today another featured selection was sent to me automatically and I cant sign on to reject it. I need to cancel this membership but cant find a way to do it.

Yeah, a lot of the sites out there are either impossible to complete or a rip off to do.

- But there are a few that aren't. Me and PZERFOGH are pretty involved with one site where we've made a lot of money.
