nah, you don't need to hire some one...like people said, shock it...then vacum and backwash. but don't put in any chlorine until the bottom is all clear of stuff because it won't do anything.

seems like pools are similar to computers... some people would rather just get a Dell, or hire the pool man, or some just DIY... lol.

Just like with geek squad....you'll be wasting your money if you hire a "professional". Just do some google searches and obtain the needed knowledge to DIY.

Pools.... Not a lotta fun... I just throw in some chlorine tablets(bombs are fun....), shock, and algae cleaner. don't forget to swim, or at least get the water circulating to kill the algae, beacuse if it stays in one spot, the chemicals won't kill it.

Our pond is way cleaner than your pool o.O

Then again, it has a 16 foot filtration system, and the entire pond ciculates through the system once every 3 hours It has to be in good 'nick when you have 16 Japanese Koi Carp in it. Thats swimming $$$, gotta keep em alive.
