| Suspected hacker looking for info on these forums? Hey, I just wanted you all to be on the lookout for a guy who contacted me and asked me to mod his forums for him, and when I looked up the info in the whois database, I got some puzzling results, he was also very pushy. Please read the text file attached, I don't mean to spread slander about anyone but this is just me trying to warn everybody...didn't mean to alarm any of you if that's what I did.

| holy crap dude! You are very tense! No, he is not a hacker! He is only 15 years old which means he prolly wasn't the one registering the domain...it was prolly a friend or whatever! My friend is 35 years old and he registered me a domain from Korea under his name yet Im in New York! I doubt this kid is a hacker! You gotta relax in my opinion!

| Just because he SAYS he's 15 does not MEAN he is actually 15. The thing with the internet, is it can really serve as a mask to identity. Tylertherobot may be a bit tense, but Slam 'n Systems, you are being a bit loose then.

| just look at those forums! No hacker would be on those forums...Hackers are usually on the Porn/Hacking forums! Quote:
Jesse Taylor - Owner of Web-Boards.com
I am not going to be on my computer for about 6 weeks due to low grades at school. So I need lots of help from the moderatos to get this place organized and whatnot. When I come back I hope that it is not a mess. Please help me out to get new members and whatnot, because I will not be here to do that sort of thing. I am sorry if this causes any inconvience but I have to go. I will be back, it is not like I am dying. Bye.
| That is his Signature on those Web-Boards forums! I highly doubt he'd be lying to the whole staff and dedicated members to that forum!!

| I'm just saying, he contacted me out of the blue, I don't know who he is, I've never talked to him, and he asked me right off to help moderate his board? Just seems kind of suspicious, if you don't think so then you're not very up on your security :/

| ehh, just take him up on his offer, but ask for admin and not just mod privlages. Therefore, if you dont want to do it anymore, you can deleate every record of yourself ever being there.
The internet is a place full of very shady people, but I dont think this instance has one of those people behind it. Maybe he saw your quality of posts and asked you. ****, does he really need a reason? If I were you, since there is VERY minimal risk involved (its exactly the same risk as stumbling upon forums, liking the content and joining) Id hop on board and see how it goes. |

| I agree with that a bit, but I don't think he'd give me admin if I asked for it, and that's the only way that I would actually get involved with those boards.
