Default Strenghting Magnets

hey, got some bar magnets, but they are too weak, and i wanna magnetize them more. How should i do this? I know it's possible with electricity or something, so i'm thinking of trying to wrap some wire around and making an electromagnet, that would probably aline the diodes inside the iron and make them stronger, but i don't know which way to connect ( + north and - south ?) If anyone knows that would be awsome... thanks a lot

what material are the magnets made of? every material has a magnetic max, the maximum it will be able to permanently hold. if the magnet is iron, you will be able to increase it's magnetism only while the electricity is flowing. neodymium is one of the more powerful magnetic materials, if you decide to get different ones.
