Default Sony blue-ray laptop

Anyone else here see the pictures of the new Sony laptop playing a blue-ray disc, but it happened to have a DVD+R in it?
Turns it out was all a sham because they had two of them side by side and the one on the left was playing the DVD and the one on the right was playing Blue-ray for a comparrison.

Here is the alleged "lie"

Here is the truth

It is amazing what some people will do to try to discredit a company.

Would be nice so see some Blue Ray programs to start off with.

This is the reason why I don't get Blue Ray and Sony PS3. How the he|| is a game dev going to use up all 25 Gb (?) on one disk?

well, it's kind of common knowledge that most game developers don't use up all the space on these discs. Same way that not all 70 min. of available space on your average CD is used up by most musicians.

I think the extra's there for a safety net.

I heard about it before, and my take was, why would there be any difference between a DVD playing hi def content and a Blue-ray disk. The only difference I can think of is that the DVD can only store half a film max.

Yah that's another thing. DVD's can play high def content, so even when I initially saw that article I didn't care. Then i read the one I showed above and another that just totally disproved it.

It seems like the majority of the internet has an anti sony bias nowadays. 8(.
