ok, on the 29th we have a x`mas party for the members of our newspaper staff

the present should mean more than whatever it costs (i don't have much spare money left anyways :\)

she happens to be the artist for us, and that's about it...i don't think i've talked to her more than twice

so what do you think i should get her? (art related probably)

and we have to write why we chose the gift we chose

i have no idea what to write for that either

Can you draw yourself?

Being a traditional artist (drawing, skteching etc.) I would always LOVE getting pencils and paper. Not printer paper but something that I can do stuff on, sketch books, drawing paper, sketching paper etc.

Pencils as well from an art store, not a Office Max office pencil but anything ranging from 4H-4B

Knowing what medium she works in would really be helpful. You may not want to get a sketch pad for someone that never sketches.

You could always buy her a coloring book and some crayons, with a statement that she needs to try all types of artwork! Okay, just kidding there, but a little levity sometimes goes a long way.
