Signature not working?!

Wasn't sure where to post this... so this seemed like the best place

I uploaded a GIF image to Tech Forums to use as my signature... but it doesn't seem to be working.

What else do I have to do other than upload it? Do I have to link to it somehow in that text box?

I have found it works better if you have the image hosted somewhere like imageshack or photobucket and put the url in the box. Every time I upload one it fails. But the linked ones always work.
