i have a gripe with you.

while riding on the train tonight and conversing with my girlfriend on my mobile phone it turned itself off. i later turned it back on to find it performing a factory reset. i lost two years worth of pictures, messages and phone numbers. i am not very happy.

haha, i have let it out. i used some four letter words i wasn't even aware were in my vocabulary earlier tonight. i guess i said rant to categorise this. basically right now i hate LG with every fibre of my being. the only thing preventing me from snapping is the fact i know my girlfriend's and my best mate's mobile numbers off by heart. if not i would have gone insane.

I'm sure there is some way to recover the information, maybe take it to the place you bought it from and ask about it? Harddrives/memorysticks aren't really erased, it's just given permission to write data over it...so maybe there is still a chance you can recover it.

i'll live, theres nothing the place i bought it can do (Australia Post). it was just quite an unwelcome shock. i guess things could be recovered but not as simply as with the averaged HDD/flash drive.

That sucks, you havn't backed up photo's on the pc or anything ?

Im glad i have wireless backup.

My phone updates and stores an online phonebook, so i can redownload numbers
in case something happens. I have all my pictures backed up online...sprint ftw.
